OUR STORY
Once Upon A Time... there was a beautiful girl living in a small village just outside the big bustling kingdom. She married an ordinary man who made her smile but she longed for something to express her creativity. Then one day, the royal court visited her village and invited her to the castle. They asked if she would display her beauty and grace for the visiting villagers and entertain them with song and dance. She agreed and with her husband moved their life miles and miles away from her village to the Kingdom full of character and magic (far away from the cold, exhausting life of a peasant). She was to become an honorary princess!! This was like a dream had become reality for her. Her husband made arrangements for their journey and he, too, found work in the Kingdom. However, his work was among the animals and the black flag hoisting scoundrels of the sea which kept the two apart many a day AND night causing much sadness. So, the princess relinquished her honorary crown and her husband escaped the clutches of captain’s orders so they may search for happiness once again. Alas! Her simple husband thought long and hard and found a way to reignite his inspiration and polished his talents for stage and entertainment!! Now HE had, once again, found happiness and joy, but the beautiful princess knew SHE wanted more also. But what could SHE do? Friends from all over the Kingdom spoke of how she seemed to have the “magic” to turn a pumpkin into a pie or ordinary peasant dough into deliciously sweet treats. “That’s it!,” she thought. “I’ll bake happiness for the kingdom and villages all over the land.” She felt like a princess once again, even without her crown, and dusted off her princess slippers that she was given at the royal ball and put them on display. She began creating her sweetiful (sweetly beautiful) treats in her cottage just outside the castle walls and now welcomes all to taste a bit of happily ever after...
